Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in my everyday life. Home, travel, food, lifestyle.

Sometimes the best things happen when you least expect it. It can be as simple as a chance encounter with the person of your dreams whilst at the grocery store or someone you meet in a faraway country where you decided to travel at the last minute. In the modern world of technology this can also mean finding inspiration as you stumble upon a new blog.

Today was such a day when I decided to open Twitter. A retweet from someone I follow led me to a fascinating travel blog where I could have stayed all day reading the blog entries. What caught my eye with this blog was the mention of UK and Ireland travel along with helpful tips on saving money and

Having traveled more than a handful of times to the two countries, I realised I have not seen even a fraction of what this girl has seen and experienced on her travels to those places. Interesting to note was her mention of car travel as the best way to see Ireland. I realised this early on in my travels but the fear of driving on the opposite side of the road has been a hindrance.

Another blog I regularly follow led me to a post with the following statements which left me laughing this morning as this is the first time I have heard a third option to this dilemma of the glass with water:

Drop the needless expectations. Appreciate what is. It doesn’t matter if your glass is half empty or half full. Just be thankful that you have a glass and that there’s something in it.

Many times we wish things were different as we get caught up in the 'if only...then' excuses. 'If only we had more money/had a better job/looked like a supermodel...then all would be perfect.' Wanting what we do not or cannot have will merely lead to disappoint. But I digress.

At the end of each day we are left with something to ponder. Today was the thought that even though we might wish to plan every minute of our future, the best things in life are simple and accidental with the tendency to throw us completely off our intended path.
